Trust

“I don’t believe in faith,” said Carl. “Faith is for the religious, for people who believe that paying homage to some diety will pay off, or that karma or some other supernatural rule will one day work to your advantage. What I believe in is trust. I trust my that my instincts about how to conduct my life are correct, and that if I hold true to those instincts, events will eventually work in my favor. Faith is a belief in something other than yourself, that someone will take care of you. Trust is about believing in yourself.”
